Testimonials
Mr. Chris is a very helpful teacher. He is a very trusting and wise. We had like an honor system where he would trust you to bring back the money for snacks if you didn’t have money at the time. I learned that continuous improvement is a lifelong process. I also learned that billiards is a sport of respect, focus and good sportsmanship. I look forward to playing regularly with him and my family again.

Aside from the foundational pool skills that he taught us, he also taught us about life and morality. I can see that Mr. Chris did not only start the billiards club merely for the sake of skill in the game, but skill in life as well. I am greatly appreciative of that because it was evidence of his investment in us and our futures.

The original Billiards Academy’s juniors program was a great transformative experience for me. Not only did I enhance my pool skills beyond expectations, but the academy’s instructor, Chris Curtis, provided a nurturing environment, pushing me to excel in technique, strategy, and mental focus. What set them apart was their commitment to integrating faith, fostering discussions and mentorship that explored spirituality in the context of pool. The supportive community became like a second family, where lifelong friendships were formed. The Billiards Academy has not only shaped my pool game but also nurtured my character and instilled invaluable values for life’s challenges. I am immensely grateful for this remarkable experience.

Billiards with Mr. Chris was a highlight of my week. It was also quite educational. I enjoyed both the learning and the competition. I also enjoyed other things like lock-ins and Nintendo tournaments. Mr. Chris is just a genuinely cool guy. He taught us about other cultures and about Kai Zen (continuous improvement) and also turning poison into medicine. Getting back into pool with Mr. Chris would be better than ice-cream Sundays. It would be my first priority.

Having Mr. Chris in our lives as a pool teacher and mentor was a real blessing. I don’t trust my kids easily to any coach or teacher because the kind of man or women they are can negatively affect the people my children are becoming. Mr. Chris made me feel at ease. I had no problem dropping the boys off to his pool hall and knowing that they would have a edifying experience with him while having a blast. We would even go as a family sometimes. We all miss it and him and look forward to next steps with billiards!!!!
